Salem Beta?

Hey SG!

I don't have a lot of time for "active gaming" anymore, but I've found a little niche that I enjoy. If you haven't heard of it, it's being developed by the creators of Haven and Hearth: http://salemthegame.com/ Salem is considered a "crafting MMO."

Do we have any SG'ers active in the beta? A wipe is about to happen tonight, so I'd love to hear if we have anybody prepping for a village.

Thanks,

Osky

I played a lot when the beta first opened but the constant grind for food and arrowheads killed it for me :(

I have been watching this game for some time being a huge fan of H & H. For those interested in a BETA, first off here is the link. http://www.salemthegame.com/

And to qoute the 'About' so you can get the gist of it.

"Salem is a fully open sandbox MMO with deep crafting elements. The game features permadeath as one of its main gimmicks, along with an in-depth character development system without classes and set roles, where the player can chose which kind of game to play. Taking place in the time of the first Pilgrims, Salem lets you live as an explorer in the new world; building your settlement, learning new skills and maybe fight with your neighbours.

The only place in Salem not built by the players is the main city Boston, which is a safe-zone where one can meet other players, trade, converse and enjoy the social aspects of the game. Outside of Boston only wilderness awaits, and the further you come from civilization the darker and more dangerous the world around you becomes. Until you reach the deep lumberwoods and no longer have to fear Pilgrims but instead witches and hidebehinds..."

I hope this helps. I'm going to give it a shot right now! See ya Pilgrim, had to do it. :)

I fired this up as soon as open beta hit and it is better than it was when I played in early closed beta. It doesn't cast 2 silver to get transported into the wilderness and the horrific camera has been fixed. If anyone has a hearth secret PM me so we can get a SG village together.

I'll have to take another look at this. I tried it early in development, it looks like they've made some positive changes.

Is everyone playing solo or are we going to try to meet up? If we are going to meet up then we need someone with a hearth secret.
